MEET THE TEAM
Clearview Cattery is a family-run business built on a genuine love of animals and a belief that every cat deserves exceptional care.
Ryan and Emily started Clearview because they wanted to create the kind of place they would trust with their own pets - somewhere warm, personal and completely reliable.
"We started Clearview because we wanted to do things differently. For us this is not just a business, it is a genuine passion.
Every cat that comes through our cat flaps is treated as an individual, and we take the time to understand their routine, their personality and what makes them feel at home. We are on site every day, personally involved in the care of every cat".
Ryan
Having grown up in the family cattery, Ryan has quite literally been surrounded by cats his entire life. That lifetime of hands-on experience means there is very little he has not seen.
From understanding different personalities and routines to administering medication and caring for cats with additional needs, Ryan knows cats. Whether they are confident characters, independent souls or the ones who like to keep everyone guessing, he has an uncanny knack for winning them over.
When's he's not looking after the cats, he has sporty personality and is a professional football scout, so in his spare time he is either watching football or playing padel.
Emily
With years of experience caring for animals, from competitive horses and dogs to cats, Emily has a natural ability to understand every guest's personality. Her calm, patient approach helps even the most nervous visitors settle in and feel completely at home.
Emily believes every stay at Clearview should feel like a genuine holiday, not simply time spent away from home. From welcoming new arrivals to making sure every suite is spotless, she's passionate about creating an experience that owners can trust and cats genuinely enjoy.
Rarely far from a camera, Emily is also Clearview's self-appointed Kitty Paparazzi, capturing those little "wish you were here" moments that brighten your day while you're away. Don't be surprised if your cat comes home with more holiday photos than you do.
Favourite part of the job? Winning over every cat, discovering what makes them purr, and turning first-time guests into lifelong holidaymakers.
Love for animals doesn't just stop at the cattery though. In her spare time Emily swaps the litter trays for mucking out and can be often found spending time with her horses.
Leigh
For Leigh, caring for cats has never been just a job. It is a passion. As Clearview's go-to handyman and resident perfectionist, he will happily admit to being a little bit OCD - but around here, that is no bad thing.
As a fully qualified plumber he's often carrying out maintenance, perfecting a chalet or finding a creative solution to improve the cattery, nothing is ever good enough until it is exactly right. His eye for detail has helped shape Clearview into the ultimate holiday destination for cats.
Above all else, Leigh is someone owners know they can trust. He treats every guest as if they were his own.
He doesn't get much hobby time with having 3 girls (including twins) but when he does he's a keen footballer and was once on Burnley's books!
