Refers to Clearview Cattery Ltd (the service provider).
Clearview Cattery Ltd
Refers to the service provider, a boarding facility where animals are housed temporarily when they cannot stay at their owners’ home.
The Owner / Carer
Refers to the person(s) who has ownership and shall include any person who has possession, care, custody, or responsibility for the animal.
You / Your / You’re
Refers to The Owner / Carer.
The Nominated Emergency Contact
Refers to the person(s) The Owner / Carer wishes Clearview Cattery Ltd to contact in the event of an emergency.
The Designated Veterinary Surgeon
Refers to The Owner / Carer’s designated veterinary surgeon and/or veterinary practice.
Clearview Cattery Ltd’s Appointed Veterinary Practices
Refers to veterinary practices appointed by Clearview Cattery Ltd, including both in-hours and out-of-hours providers.
1. General
1.1
All animals are boarded entirely at The Owner / Carer’s risk.
1.2
Clearview Cattery Ltd will exercise reasonable care, skill, diligence, and attention whilst animals are boarded.
1.3
Whilst every possible attention is given to each animal boarded, Clearview Cattery Ltd cannot be held responsible for injury caused between animals from the same family sharing accommodation.
1.4
By making a booking, The Owner / Carer consents to animals from the same household sharing accommodation where applicable.
1.5
Should Clearview Cattery Ltd deem separation necessary for safety or welfare reasons, additional accommodation charges may apply.
1.6
All cats must be registered with a veterinary practice.
1.7
All animals must arrive in a secure and suitable pet carrier.
1.8
Clearview Cattery Ltd reserves the right to refuse out-of-hours drop-offs and collections.
2. Sharing Boarding Facilities
2.1
Animals from the same family may only share accommodation with written consent from The Owner / Carer.
2.2
Clearview Cattery Ltd accepts no liability for injuries caused between family animals sharing accommodation.
3. Vaccination Details
3.1
All boarded animals must be fully vaccinated.
3.2
Vaccination certificates must accompany the animal and remain with Clearview Cattery Ltd during boarding.
3.3
Vaccinations must include Cat Flu and Feline Enteritis.
3.4
Vaccinations must have been administered within the previous 12 months.
3.5
Failure to provide valid vaccination certification may result in refusal of boarding.
3.6
All animals must receive recognised flea and worm treatment prior to boarding.
3.7
Animals arriving with fleas may be treated at The Owner / Carer’s expense.
3.8
Clearview Cattery Ltd accepts no liability for reactions to flea or worming products.
4. Medical Record
4.1
Any medical condition, behavioural concern, medication, allergy, dietary issue, or ongoing treatment must be disclosed at the time of booking.
4.1.1
Any change in medical condition after booking must be disclosed no later than 48 hours prior to arrival.
4.1.2 Recent Illness, Symptoms, Veterinary Treatment & Disclosure Obligations Prior to Boarding
The Owner / Carer has an absolute and ongoing obligation to disclose any illness, injury, medical condition, infectious illness, symptom, veterinary treatment, prescribed medication, consultation, investigation, or veterinary advice relating to the animal within 14 days prior to boarding.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea
- Sneezing
- Coughing
- Lethargy
- Reduced appetite
- Wounds or injuries
- Behavioural changes
- Parasites
- Discharge from eyes or nose
The Owner / Carer must provide full written details of:
- Symptoms
- Dates symptoms occurred
- Veterinary practices attended
- Diagnoses or suspected diagnoses
- Medication prescribed
- Veterinary advice received
- Monitoring or aftercare requirements
Clearview Cattery Ltd reserves the right to:
- Refuse boarding
- Require veterinary clearance
- Cancel boarding
- Isolate animals
- Require immediate collection
- Seek veterinary advice or treatment
Failure to disclose relevant medical information constitutes a material breach of these Terms and Conditions.
Clearview Cattery Ltd accepts no liability whatsoever for illness, injury, deterioration, relapse, complications, infectious disease transmission, or death arising from pre-existing, undisclosed, incubating, or previously treated conditions.
4.2
Medication will only be administered in accordance with veterinary instructions.
4.3
The Owner / Carer must provide written consent and administration instructions for medication.
4.4
Medications must be clearly labelled.
4.5
Unused medication will be returned upon collection.
4.6
Clearview Cattery Ltd reserves the right to refuse admission to any animal considered unwell or dangerous.
5. Emergencies / Illnesses
5.1
Whilst every care and precaution is taken, Clearview Cattery Ltd cannot be held responsible for illness, disease, deterioration, disappearance, injury, escape, or death occurring during boarding.
5.2
Where veterinary treatment is required, Clearview Cattery Ltd will attempt to contact The Owner / Carer and/or The Nominated Emergency Contact.
5.3
It is The Owner / Carer’s responsibility to ensure emergency contacts remain contactable throughout boarding.
5.4
If urgent treatment is required and contact cannot be established, Clearview Cattery Ltd may seek veterinary treatment from either The Designated Veterinary Surgeon or Clearview Cattery Ltd’s appointed veterinary practices.
5.5
Clearview Cattery Ltd reserves the right to use veterinary practices of its choice, including out-of-hours providers.
5.6
All veterinary costs and associated expenses remain payable by The Owner / Carer.
5.7
Clearview Cattery Ltd may authorise emergency treatment where reasonably necessary.
5.8
Clearview Cattery Ltd accepts no responsibility for circumstances outside its reasonable control.
5.9 Pre-Existing Illnesses and Post-Collection Responsibility
Clearview Cattery Ltd accepts no liability for any illness, injury, deterioration, disappearance, infection, condition, complication, or death existing prior to arrival.
All animals are visually inspected upon arrival and collection.
Once an animal leaves the premises, full responsibility immediately transfers back to The Owner / Carer.
Clearview Cattery Ltd shall not be liable for:
- Illness or injury during transportation
- Conditions arising after collection
- Stress-related illness after departure
- Incidents occurring after leaving the premises
5.10 Death of an Animal
Boarding animals carries inherent risks including stress-related illness, infectious disease, age-related complications, sudden deterioration, undetected medical conditions, injury, and unexpected death.
Clearview Cattery Ltd accepts no liability for illness, injury, deterioration, disappearance, escape, euthanasia, or death arising from:
- Pre-existing conditions
- Undisclosed conditions
- Stress-related complications
- Veterinary treatment complications
- Emergency veterinary decisions
- Events outside reasonable control
Where emergency veterinary treatment, euthanasia, transportation, storage, cremation, or disposal decisions are required and Clearview Cattery Ltd cannot contact The Owner / Carer in sufficient time, The Owner / Carer expressly authorises Clearview Cattery Ltd and/or the attending veterinary surgeon to make decisions considered necessary in the animal’s best interests.
All veterinary, transport, cremation, storage, and associated costs remain payable by The Owner / Carer.
6. Emergency Protocol
6.1
The Nominated Emergency Contact may be contacted by telephone, text, or email.
6.2
Clearview Cattery Ltd may engage veterinary services where required.
6.3
The Owner / Carer may also be contacted by telephone, text, or email.
7. Aggressive / Destructive Temperaments
7.1
Clearview Cattery Ltd reserves the right to refuse or terminate boarding for aggressive or destructive animals.
7.2
Damage caused by boarded animals shall be chargeable to The Owner / Carer.
8. Minimum Age
8.1
Clearview Cattery Ltd operates a minimum boarding age of 4 months.
8.2
Male cats over 6 months old must be neutered.
9. Diet
9.1
Animals will be fed according to The Owner / Carer’s instructions.
9.2
Where specialist food is required, sufficient supplies must be provided.
9.3
Clearview Cattery Ltd accepts no liability arising from dietary changes.
10. Bedding & Toys
10.1
Clearview Cattery Ltd provides bedding and sleeping facilities.
10.2
Personal belongings may be left at The Owner / Carer’s risk.
10.3
Clearview Cattery Ltd accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to belongings.
11. Lost Property
11.1
Items left behind for more than 7 days may be disposed of.
12. Boarding Fees
12.1
Boarding fees are charged daily.
12.2
All fees must be paid in full on or before collection.
12.3
Extended stays shall incur additional charges.
12.4
Refunds for curtailed stays remain at the sole discretion of Clearview Cattery Ltd.
13. No Show
13.1
Failure to present animals within 24 hours of booking commencement may be treated as a No-Show.
13.2
Clearview Cattery Ltd reserves the right to cancel No-Show bookings.
13.3
The Owner / Carer remains liable for outstanding booking fees.
14. Late Cancellation Charge
14.1
Late cancellations or amendments may incur full boarding charges.
14.2
Cancellations within 7 working days may incur the full booking fee.
15. Uncollected & Abandonment
15.1
Charges continue to accrue daily until collection.
15.2
Charges may include boarding, feeding, administration, veterinary treatment, medication, transportation, and welfare costs.
15.3
Clearview Cattery Ltd will make reasonable attempts to contact The Owner / Carer.
15.4
Animals not collected within a reasonable period may be deemed abandoned under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.
15.5
Clearview Cattery Ltd reserves the right to:
- Rehome animals
- Transfer ownership
- Recover costs through legal action
- Transfer animals to welfare organisations
16. Payment
16.1
Payment is required on or before arrival.
16.2
Bookings over £100 may require a non-refundable deposit.
16.3
Bank transfers must be completed before or on arrival.
16.4
Payment references must include surname and animal name.
17. Privacy Policy
17.1
By accepting these Terms and Conditions, The Owner / Carer also agrees to the Clearview Cattery Ltd Privacy Policy.
17.2
It is The Owner / Carer’s responsibility to familiarise themselves with the Privacy Policy.
17.3
Clearview Cattery Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
18. Declaration
18.1
By making a booking with Clearview Cattery Ltd through any communication channel, The Owner / Carer confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
18.2
It is The Owner / Carer’s responsibility to ensure they have fully read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
18.3
Clearview Cattery Ltd reserves the right to vary these Terms and Conditions periodically on its web
